CURRENT EDITORIAL
MISSION
3/3/09 EDITORIAL
The below mission column was written on November 28, 2008, and set forth this website’s agenda. We believe, to date, we are following that mission, and would seek to point out where we are so far – 3 months and an inauguration later.
Question 1 - Who is Barack Obama? We still don’t know. Articles on the citizenship page have explored the controversy surrounding Mr. Obama’s US citizenship, but no answers are forthcoming – lawsuits are continually being filed, and tossed for technicalities.
Some progress is being made, however. In one of the first articles we’ve encountered on a liberal website, AOL.com acknowledged on March 2nd that there is a controversy. 99% of the MSM refuse to even admit that. The poll following the article suggested that 47% of Americans were concerned about Obama’s citizenship, and potential fraud. Let’s hope the judiciary is paying attention, and one of the current lawsuits gets a fair hearing.
Question 2 &6 can now be combined – What are his true positions on important issues? And will Mr. Obama pursue an ultra-liberal, even socialist agenda? Obama has shifted to the far left, after the usual Democratic ploy of trying to appear centrist. He is, as feared, drifting toward socialism. Some examples:
Question 3 – What did he mean by change? The only change being initiated is a return to the failed policies of the Clinton administration, with many of the same Clintonistas.
Some things that haven’t changed:
Question 4 – What exactly are his relationships with Bill Ayers, Rev. Wright, ACORN?
We explored ACORN and Obama’s relationship in our first “Lesser Demons” piece. We also pointed out $5.2 billion set aside for them in the Porkulus plan. How is that a stimulus? A stimulus for voter fraud?
We’ve also had fun with Rev. Wright in our cartoons and political comics. More discussion should be forthcoming.
So, in closing, I would like to suggest that obamathedevil.com is doing more to fulfilling its objectives than the current administration. We continue to point out the truth, even as the Democrats attempt to obfuscate.
Thanks to all our readers. We will struggle on, and attempt to improve the product as we move forward.

MISSION
11/28 From the Editor
I think the title of this website begins to illuminate the mission we have set forth. With an air of civility, we will bring forward points that weren’t broached by the mainstream media during this election cycle:
We will use news, commentary, satire and cartoons to present a different point of view, one that didn’t get an equal voice during the election. We don’t pretend to be unbiased – we are fearful of what to expect from the incoming Obama administration, and horrified by the precedent established by the mainstream media in the election.
Jay Nordlinger, National Review Senior Editor, wrote a terrific piece on National Review Online entitled “Bitterfest ’08,” dated November 13th. Mr. Nordlinger’s take on the press coverage:
“Let’s talk about Obama’s press coverage: During the campaign, he was practically immune from criticism. His coverage was almost 100% positive. Will President Obama be immune from criticism – or will he be treated normally? I have a feeling that the “MSM” will be so eager for him to succeed, they will treat politics as though the campaign were still on: with D’s in the white hats and R’s in black hats.”
This is truly a depressing thought. Will those who support the opposition party continue to be savaged by the liberal press? Will teams of reporters and lawyers be sent to their home towns to dig up dirt? The disrespect showed to Gov. Palin was appalling, and the treatment of “Joe the Plumber” reprehensible.
Mr. Nordlinger also wrote, “As a rule, I say that people in a democracy get what they deserve. Sometimes minorities don’t deserve what ensues, but such is life. I’m not so sure about the 2008 election. Why? Because the Barack Obama of the general election was so very, very different from the Barack Obama of the Democratic primaries and before. All candidates shift – that’s politics. But Obama, it seems to me, abused the privilege. And he was very good at it.”
“…In brief, I’m not sure that America knew what they were voting for.”
We concur, and will try to set the record straight on this website.
